SharePoint Integration within Salesforce – Implementation & Features

Overview

SharePoint is implemented within Salesforce in the form of a LWC which can be placed as independent component (Home Page / Lighting Tab) or within the Record Page of the related record to which the SharePoint Drive is linked.

Here, The LWC displays all the files uploaded in the SharePoint Drive with their information, and also allows us to upload more files, search through all the files and provides the option to open the linked SharePoint Drive

Browse Uploads

At the forefront of our interface lies a user-friendly Search Bar, meticulously designed to effortlessly navigate through the vast array of items and files nestled within the SharePoint Drive.
Thus, enabling swift access to relevant content with just a few keystrokes, ensuring you find precisely what you need in record time.

Navigate to SharePoint Drive

Adjacent to the Search Bar, situates a Button which redirects the users directly to their linked SharePoint Drive by eliminating unnecessary steps. With a single click, users can effortlessly navigate and access their shared repository of documents and files.

Sync New Uploads

Situated within the interface is a “Refresh button”, designed to update the Lightning Web Component (LWC) and displays any newly uploaded files within the SharePoint Drive. This can synchronise with the SharePoint therefore, providing users with real-time access to the most recent contents.

Upload Files via LWC Component

At the conclusion of the displayed files lies a distinct panel, serving as a gateway to upload new files directly into the linked SharePoint drive. This feature streamlines the process of adding fresh and new content to the Drive thus, eliminating unnecessary steps and ensuring swift and efficient file uploads.
